EditPDF.Now is designed with a local-first architecture. This means:

• All PDF processing occurs directly in your web browser using JavaScript
• Your files remain on your device at all times
• No file data is transmitted to any server
• Core PDF processing works even when offline once the page has loaded. A few features (OCR language models, some fonts) fetch static assets on demand and need a connection the first time

We collect minimal information necessary to operate and improve our service:

Automatically Collected

• Basic analytics (page views, feature usage counts) - anonymized and aggregated
• Browser type and version (for compatibility)
• General geographic region (country level only)

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your PDF files or any content within them
• Personal identification information
• File names or metadata from your documents

3Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage to enhance your experience:

• Theme preference - Remembers your light/dark mode choice
• Language preference - Stores your selected language
• No analytics cookies - Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookie-less and does not track you across sites

4Third-Party Services

We use limited third-party services:

• Vercel - Hosts our website (no access to your files)
• Vercel Analytics - Cookie-less, anonymized page-view counts sent to the same domain you're visiting; never includes your files, file names, or document content
• Public CDNs - Some static assets (the PDF rendering engine, fonts for non-Latin text, OCR language models) may be loaded from public CDNs. These requests fetch code and data to your browser; your files and their contents are never sent out

5Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data or your files, there's nothing to delete or export. However, you have the right to:

• Clear your browser's local storage at any time
• Disable cookies in your browser settings
• Contact us with any privacy concerns
